Ageability
A focus on balance helps ensure that Col Solare is a wine of great aging potential, vintage after vintage.
The wine is crafted to be rich but balanced, the characteristics most important to ageability. The winemaking team's gentle handling of the wines while they age, including gravity racking and consistent topping off of finishing wines, helps to retain freshness once the wine is bottled. That freshness, in turn, helps to preserve the wine's flavor characteristics and tannin balance as the wine ages in bottle.
The videos and chart below outline the tasting notes and aging recommendations.
